My training is basically over and I've logged over 12,000 miles in the last 8 months!  The countdown has now begun for my bike ride across America for JDRF
which begins July 11, 2010.  The Pac Tour group I'm riding with will be starting at 7:00 am from the Best Western Cascadia Inn, Everett, WA.
Several friends including my daughter and son-in-law will be joining us for the first 30 miles or so to assist in the send off.  The first day
we'll be heading over Stevens Pass to Wenatchee, WA., a climb of approx. 5,690 feet and distance of 124 miles.
The following days will be:  Wenatchee to Coulee Dam (110 mi., 4500' climb), Coulee Dam to Spokane (85 mi., 3500' climb), and then from Spokane to
Sand Point, ID. (90 mi. 2500' climb).

Thanks to all who have generously given to JDRF in support of my ride.  By the way, I am the first person ever to bicycle across America
as a fundraiser for this worthy cause!  If you haven't donated yet, please consider doing so at this time as it would mean so much to me,
my granddaughter Casey, and so many other children who must live with the pain and frustration of this disease. My goal is $20,000 and we're at $16,000. You can donate on my JDRF ride for a cure page:

Wish me well and watch for my updates!
