DAY 6 Thompson Falls to Missoula MT.
Todays ride was the longest so far 135 miles, with a total climb of 4212 feet and average speed of 17.9. I felt very good today. People's abilities are ironing out, and I have found a group of 4 or 5 riders that are about my same speed. We rode together most of the day. the wind was blowing hard 25-35 mph; thankfully only 20 miles of it a headwind but mostly side winds. I'm used to the winds though with my arizona training. Lunch consisted of hot dogs, pound cake and gatorade. Its amazing the drink combos i am concocting to stay hydrated, but its important to keep drinking even if not thirsty. The scenery in montana is spectacular (big ski country) . Tomorrow is another long day of 135 miles. This is definitely the most spectacular way to see the country! Having the time of my life!
"today is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it" Psalm 118:24
